This little amplifier far exceeds my expectations. I bought it to power an old pair of Realistic Minimus 77 8-ohm bookshelf speakers. I hooked up a CD player and turned it on. What a revelation! The sound is clear, rich, and sharp. Up as far as 1/2 volume, all I need in my bedroom, I don't hear any distortion. The bass and treble response seem to be even across different volume settings, despite the lack of tone controls. I love that the interface is so honest and simple--just an on-off switch and a volume control, an actual knob instead of buttons. And the volume control isn't disguised for the sake of aesthetics as on most modern equipment. The sound quality noticeably exceeds both my Bose Wave Radio and my Tivoli Model 2.
